These professional luthier’s reamers aren’t like hardware store versions. One side of our Peghole Reamers is round and smooth. This keeps the reamer centered so the hole stays truly round—essential for tuning pegs!

Standard Reamer is most often used for installing guitar tuners, enlarging holes in pickguards and lots of other tasks. The 2-degree taper matches the tuning pegs on full-size violins, violas, banjos and dulcimers.
2-degree Taper: from .200" to .375" (5mm to 9.5mm)
Cutting Length: 5.63" (143mm)

Large Reamer fits double-bass and cello tuning pegs. This big reamer comes in very handy for lots of jobs in the shop.
2-degree Taper: from .312" to .625" (7.92mm to 15.88mm)
Cutting Length: 7.88" (200.15mm)
