Graphtech TUSQ XL Slotted nut Gibson Style
TUSQ XL is a synthetic material created by Graphtech® as a substitute for traditional bone. For years it has been used by the world's leading manufacturers in the saddles and nuts of their instruments.
TUSQ XL has several advantages:
- Most tunings problems originate at the nut. During tremolo use and string bend the strings can get caught in the nut. TUSQ XL is based in the highly resonant TUSQ impregnated in the slipperiest substance on earth (500 times more slippery than graphite) greatly improving tuning stability.
- Contrary to the bone, which can have different porosities and densities that can damp the sound, TUSQ is a very consistent product, removing flat and dead spots and offering the same behavior from piece to piece. As a result of this consistency, a remarkable improvement in sustain and harmonic content is achieved.
