- Fine substitude for Rosewood 0 Les gens ont trouvé cela utileOn arrival quite smelly of ammonia, but that disappeared completely in a few months. The wood is dense and on the heavy side, but machines and sands very well. Easy to work on. The tap tone is somewhere in the middle of the total spectrum of tap tones. The color resembles rosewood, but more on the brown side. Looking at the costs and the properties I would say, a very good substitute for rosewood.
