While analog dial indicators have been our favorite for years, they can be very finicky, are extremely sensitive to movement, and are just plain hard to read. We wanted a dial that was just as precise, but would make every job easier.

Got an older Nut Slotting Gauge? Our new digital indicator takes this must-have tool to a new level. It's much easier to read and instantly switches between standard and metric. With a resolution of 0.001" or 0.01mm, it's also much more precise. Nut slot depth is critical to a great setup, and this is a big upgrade for one of our most useful tools.

Replacing an old dial indicator?
You can easily upgrade to the digital indicator: loosen the set screw on the brass block, remove the dial indicator and replace it with the digital indicator, and tighten the set screw. That's it! No modifications are necessary.
