Can you ship an order to my country?

We can send our products all over the world. However, some countries do not appear on the list of countries that you will find when entering your shipping information. This is because we only have fixed transport costs to certain places.
For other countries we must ask for a quote from our transport company, to obtain the best offer available at that moment in time. Therefore if you would like to place an order with us all you need to do is to send us the list of products you want by email to madinter@madinter.com and we will reply as soon as possible.

*Please send us the product list to place an order for shipments to Busingen and Heligoland (Germany), Mount Athos (Greece), Livigno, Campione d’Italia and Lake Lugano (Italy).

What taxes do I pay?

Our prices do not include VAT (value added tax). When selecting the destination where your order is to be sent to www.madinter.com the taxes are calculated, if applicable. VAT is only charged on orders sent within the EU, with the exception of EU companies (not Spanish) who have a European VAT number.

If your order is being sent to a country within the EU no other taxes will be charged, only if the order is to be sent to a country outside of the EU it must pass customs and you will be charged with import duties and taxes. For further information you must contact your local authorities.

What is CITES? What products and customers are subject to CITES?

CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.

CITES applies controls to the international trade of certain animal and plant species. Some of the species of wood we sell at Madinter are included in the CITES appendixes. This means these woods might need a special permit when being bought/sold.

  • Madagascar Rosewood (Dalbergia baronii)
  • Brazilian Cedar (Cedrela odorata)
  • American Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla)
  • Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa)

These woods will need a CITES permit only when being exported outside the EU. To obtain this permit, an extra fee of 65€ will be applied to your order. Shipment will be delayed 2 to 6 weeks, while the permit is being processed.

The country of destination authorities can also require the customer to submit paperwork and pay extra fees related to the CITES transaction. For information on the CITES regulation that applies in your country, please contact your local CITES authority: http://www.cites.org/eng/cms/index.php/component/cp
